Project contents:

Cycle 1: Winter, Nest Materials & Nests - A Winter Palette - tuning into the colours and textures of the Winter season, Sketching nests in ink & watercolour, Nests in pastel, Moss & Lychen in pastel and watercolour hedgerow studies

Cycle 2: Hedgehog & Dormouse studies - Sketching techniques - how to sketch dormice and hedgehogs in pencil, Pastel studies of hedgehogs and dormice, Watercolour study of a nesting dormouse, Studies of nested dormice & hedgehogs

Cycle 3: Badgers - Below the Surface - Sketching badgers in pencil, The ‘tone zone’ - badgers in chalk and charcoal pencil, Inky badgers, Sleepy nested badgers in ink

Cycle 4: Badgers - Badger Cubs, Setts and Composition ideas - Sketching badger cubs in pencil, Badger setts with textured ground and ink, Sleepy badgers - composition ideas, Badger setts in ink composition idea, Badger and the moon composition idea

Cycle 5: Bees - Emerging - Bee and bumblebee identification, Sketching bees in pencil - bee anatomy, Inky bees with watercolour, Composition ideas - burrows and little pots of nectar

Cycle 6: Bulbs and Blooms - Snowdrop bulbs in ink, Snowdrop sketching and studies in pastel & white gouache, Crocuses - bulbs and flowers sketching, Cyclamen roots in ink

Materials used in this project (not included in project price): Pastel pencils (burnt umber, white, naples yellow), Slate toned paper, Black toned paper, Brown toned paper, 12 set of pan watercolours, Drawing inks in black, burnt umber & burnt sienna, Chalk & Charcoal pencils, Round synthetic watercolour brush, Size 1 Rigger brush. All materials are available in our Art Shop.
