Join us on a wonder-filled adventure through the Winter months as we learn about the myth, magic and folklore of animals. Through the lens of the four elements we'll learn how to connect to the energy of a selection of wild animals, through creativity. Learn about 'the spirit of animals' using beginner-kind painting and drawing techniques.
Project content:
Cycle 1 : Water / Whales and Seals | Sketching seals in pencil - soft pencil techniques, Sketching whales in pencil - eyes, tail and scale, Soft pencil or stippled Minke Whale

Cycle 3: Earth / Hares | Hare Sketching with a 2B pencil, Pastel pencil sketch of a Hare’s head, Sketching a leaping Hare, Pastel study of a full Hare
Cycle 4: Earth / Bears | Bear sketching & proportion, Pastel pencil sketch of a bear on grey crush paper - head shape, eyes, Bear head in side profile and from the front in pastel, Full bear study in pastel with options for ink & watercolour
Cycle 5 : Fire / Foxes | Fox anatomy, Sketching foxes in pencil & proportion, Fox sketching in pastel pencil on grey toned paper, Watercolour foxes with drawing ink + dip pen
Cycle 6 : Air / Blackbirds | Blackbird anatomy, Bird sketching tips in pencil, Inky blackbirds and mark-making, Pastel pencil Blackbird on grey toned paper, Blackbird study in watercolour with ink & pastel,
Materials used in this project (not included in project price): Blue tint Bockingford Watercolour paper, 2B pencil and blender, 0.5 black fineliner, Grey crush Toned paper, Pitt pastel pencils : Burnt umber, Dark Naples Ochre, Chalk and Charcoal pencils, Black drawing ink & dip pen (or just use a fineliner!)
