Spring Collection
Spring is here and the world is waking up from it’s Winter slumber. As the birds sing in the first notes of Spring and bulbs burst into bloom we’ve got a beautiful new vibrant collection of paint, ink and paper that echo these brighter, more colourful days ahead!
New Beginnings
If you’re just beginning your journey with us and are looking for a basic art kit to get you set up for the season ahead then this is it folks. You’ll need a Sketchbook , a basic set of watercolour paints and a couple of brushes to get your started - a size 2 and a size 6/8 will do!
Seasonal Ink-spiration
We love drawing inks over here and these professional drawing inks really do work wonders. Alongside our core set of natural tones (burnt sienna, burnt umber and black) we have just added a NEW! vibrant selection selected with the Spring season in mind!
If you’re joining us for the Spring season of Sketchbook Club - you’ll definitely need some of our vibrant ink for our tutorials this season.
You may find a set of Daniel Smith dot cards useful too so you have a range of colours to work with! The Watercolour Confetti set (below) is perfect Spring!

Paper & Surfaces
This season we highly recommend our NEW Bockingford Rough Watercolour paper! This rough surface is ideal for granulating paints as the pigment sinks into the surface creating divine textures. It’s always helpful to have a stack of 300GSM Watercolour paper to hand too!

Brush up on your painting!
Let me take you on a tour of my favourite technique brushes! The size 12 Kolinskly Sable is my go to brush these day- great for laying washes, but with a pointed tip it copes ever so well with detail too! The Rigger brush is perfect for loose gestural line work. Finally the Isabey squirrel brush with its extra fine tip and super soft bristles is ideal for botanical painting - definitely on the menu this Spring season!
