A nature journal is a space to record your observations, thoughts and feelings about what you experience in Nature. We’ll begin by taking a guided walk through the local woodland and meadow at Windsor Park, looking out for signs of spring in Nature.

After the walk we’ll return to the Environmental Centre for some light refreshments and under the gentle guidance of Artist teacher Ellie Green, you’ll learn how to set up a nature journal to record your finds using beginner-friendly techniques.

All materials and light refreshments are included in this seasonal workshop.

Nature Journaling is growing in popularity – it’s about connecting to your surroundings through a creative lens and using simple questions to enquire into and learn about your natural surroundings. With a drawing board, a range of paper and some samples of beautiful artist-quality watercolour paints, you’ll learn the names of flowers and plants, the song of different birds and some beginner-friendly sketching and painting techniques to capture the essence of a natural space.

Are you drawn to the moon? Tune into your inner goddess this summer with our Luna Macrame workshop and create a beautiful wall hanging that as a beautiful reminder of that lunar magic! Macrame is a relaxing and therapeutic craft that keeps your hands busy and gives your mind time to rest. The process is meditative and the results a stunning reminder of that little moment of time you allowed yourself to slow down.

We are delighted to be joined in the studio this summer by local ceramicist and basket weaver Emily Hall for a mindful and soulful Sunday weaving workshop, using a mixture of bought, found and foraged seasonal materials to create a stunning hand-woven basket or coiled mat.
