Sketchbook Club is our regular online Art Class, inspired by the seasons and infused with mindfulness. It is a fantastic way to learn about nature, through creativity will help you to slow down and tune in to the natural world around you. We work with a variety of materials - from pencil, to fine-liners, inks, charcoal, pastels and watercolours and learn core technique that will help grow your confidence and skill over time.

Drawing inspiration from the Ogham calendar we’ll be tuning in to the ‘Spirit of Trees’ though our Autumn Season, beginning with a refresher on sketching techniques (working with pencil, chalk and charcoal) before diving into drawing inks, magical pigment powders and a hint of watercolour as we bring leaves, roots and limbs to life in this mixed media project with a mindful twist. As always we’ll be anchoring our visual research with tree-lore from across cultures - exploring folk stories, myths and legends of the forest. All our projects are beginner-kind but offer less trodden paths for the creative explorer too!

Who is it for: Sketchbook Club is suitable for all levels - if you’re a beginner or are low in confidence we recommend joining Sketch Community for tutor and peer-feedback on your creative journey!
