SALT BOX Mono-printing Workshop and Woodland Lunch 10.30am / Sketchbook Club Mixed Ability 7.30pm

  • SALT BOX at Priory Farm Sandy Lane Nutfield United Kingdom (map)

Join us in the woods for our first collaboration with SALT BOX!

We’re combining art and food for a morning beneath the trees at SALT BOX’s new woodland home at the beautiful Priory Farm, followed by a seasonal feast inspired by seasonal, local ingredients.

We’re very excited for Ellie Green, founder of Surrey Art School to join SALT BOX in the woods! Join Ellie and create beautiful hand-made mono-prints using the surrounding woodland as inspiration. You’ll be working with vegetable oil based inks that are totally non-toxic and create stunning photographic results. You’ll come away with multiple prints from leaves, feathers and whatever else you can find on the forest floor. You’ll get the chance to take a little bit of the beautiful woodland home with you on the day.

Following the printing workshop, we’ll sit down at our shared dining table beneath the trees for a 2-course lunch, cooked over an open fire.

Workshop date: Thursday 16th May 2019

Workshop time: 10:30 to 1:30 pm

Workshop Location: SALT BOX at Priory Farm, Sandy Lane, Nutfield, RH1 4EJ

Break up the week with our Sketchbook art class, suitable for absolute beginners to any level. A chance to meet and make regularly and get back into your creative flow. Make art, drink tea,  talk art, talk life, meet others and make in our cosy studio. Each week we will work on a different aspect of art practice and fill our sketchbooks with creative experiments.

You will be given a sketchbook with your first class and our skills based sessions will improve your technical skill and inspire new ways of working that harness confidence and creativity.

No pressure, lots of laughter and plenty of time to reflect on the week.
