Each week we will work on a different aspect of art practice and fill our sketchbooks with creative experiments.
You will be given a sketchbook with your first class and our skills based sessions will improve your technical skill and inspire new ways of working that harness confidence and creativity.
No pressure, lots of laughter and plenty of time to reflect on the week.

Seasonal Textiles Screenprinting 2pm - 5pm @ Surrey Art School
Join us for a wonder-filled afternoon workshop where you’ll learn all about the art of screen-printed textiles under the expert guidance of artist-teacher Sarah Pimenta.
We’ll use nature as inspiration to develop a design - or you are more than welcome to bring your own ideas to the table.
You'll learn how to cut a paper stencil working with both negative and positive space - with Sarah on hand to guide and help you develop your ideas.
You'll then learn how to use a screen - pulling prints using your paper stencil or found objects (leaves, feathers) to print multiples of your design onto fabric or cushion covers - or both!
Expect an exploratory session underpinned with the wisdom of experience that Sarah bring to the table, along with plenty of fun, banter and cups of tea to keep us going.
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners but of course also adaptable for those who may have made in this way before but are feeling a little bit rusty!
